From 8 to 11 September, the Apertura Madrid Gallery Weekend returns for the thirteenth year. Madrid becomes the world centre of contemporary art with more than fifty art galleries and museums in the city opening exhibitions simultaneously with extended opening hours.
The event has a varied programme that includes guided tours, events in the galleries and its own space for literature, collaborating with bookshops in Madrid’s neighbourhoods, as has been the case since last year.
Both new artists and prestigious names take part in the exhibitions of this Gallery Weekend, one of the most visited in the world, covering all kinds of disciplines: painting, photography, sculpture, installations, etc.
